Members of Sleaford and District Lions Club have been busy fundraising for the Nepal disaster fund.

The Lions have been at various venues throughout the town selling tickets for an Easter egg raffle and raised a total of £1,441.14.

They raised around £400 in just over four hours at Tesco on Saturday, May 2, to support the Nepal disaster appeal.

The club has also been helping to sustain a reasonable standard of living for an elderly man in the Sleaford area, which included providing carpets thanks to the generosity of Beckside Flooring, Ruskington.

The Lions will be out and about this summer with their monthly bookstall in Market Place on the first Saturday of each month.
