£100,000 invested in Simba's Sleaford site
A FARM machinery manufacturer is investing £100,000 in its Sleaford plant.
Simba International of Sleaford, which was bought two months ago by Great Plains Mfg, of Kansas, USA, is benefiting from 100,000 investment in its Woodbridge Road plant.
The improvements to the despatch yard will help ensure faster off-loading and loading of lorries. New offices will help accommodate the company's growing staff and a new quality control facility will speed up and improve the company's quality testing. Two new service vans have been purchased too.
The new work aims to ensure the company's business can continue to grow in the future, says Colin Adams of Simba: "This new investment has been brought forward from its planned date so we can continue to develop the design and support teams at Simba, and ensure the company's current healthy growth continues.
"This is being done in anticipation of growing Simba sales, both in existing markets across the UK, Europe and other countries, and improved sales through new representation in markets where we previously did not have a presence."
It is also introducing a new corporate logo on all its products across the world retaining the Simba identity while establishing the connection with Great Plains.
