Are builders staying inside the lines?

CONSTRUCTION workers currently rebuilding the St George’s Academy site at Ruskington were caught out by a reader when he spotted a comical method of marking where they planned to dig next.

Work is ongoing on site and local district councillor Terry Boston of Ruskington was just leaving the neighbouring Winchelsea School when he saw that workers had marked lines on the snow.

He said: “They are having some ground work done outside the grounds of Winchelsea School and the workmen painted red and blue lines marking where to dig. The only problem is they painted them on the snow! I could not believe it. As soon as the snow melts to lines will disappear. At first I looked and wondered if they were real.”

He just hoped the digging would start before the snow had melted or the contractors would have to start marking out all over again.
