Carre's Grammar school GCSE results

CARRE'S Grammar School staff and students were once again celebrating last Tuesday as their pass rate rose to 98 per cent, with 48 per cent receiving A* or A grades.

Nick Law, headteacher, said: "It has been another year of very successful results, with outstanding achievements amongst a large number of Carre's students.

"We are delighted that the efforts of our students, staff and the support of parents has been rewarded by such outstanding results.

"These results have built upon the achievements of last year, with an upward trend of improvement, and are testament to the hard work of the students and dedicated staff at Carre's Grammar School."

Nolan Tairu achieved an A* in Maths, four As in the three Sciences and Spanish and three B's and two Cs.

Edwin Carter got an A* in RE, A's in German, Resistant Materials, Geography and PE and B's in English Literature and Additional Sciences.

Scott Bamford was another high achiever, with an A* in Business Studies, As in Resistant Materials and Geography, and five B grades.

Jonathan Brooks received good grades as well, with A* in IT, History and RE, A's in Geography, English Language, English, and Science and a B in French and Maths.

Josh Scott did exceptionally well with his results, clocking up seven A* grades in History, Electronics, Geography, RE, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, As in Maths and English Language and a B in English Literature.

Matt Bee also achieved fantastic results with A* in History, Geography, RE, PE, English Literature and Language, Biology and Chemistry, and a B in Physics.
