Cattle allowed to escape when wire fence around field cut

Cattle escaped from a field in Lowfields, Boothby Graffoe when someone cut through fencing overnight at the weekend.

Police are treating the incident as criminal damage after four strands of barbed wire surrounding a field containing cattle were cut some time after 5pm on Saturday evening.

As a result the cattle escaped but were caught again by the owner later that evening, say police.
