A PIZZA maker is donating a whole day’s money to charity next week.

Owner of the Little Italy Pizza Co, James Broderick, is holding a special fund-raising event at his establishment, located in Money’s Yard, Sleaford, next Wednesday (October 3).

That date will mark two years since James’ father died due to
alcoholism and James will be
donating all his takings on that day to his chosen charity, Children of Addicted Parents and People (COAP) and he is urging people to support this cause, which is close to his heart.

At the end of August last year, James and a group of supporters took on a gruelling fund-raising challenge, walking from Lincoln to London in one week, raising around £2,000 for the charity.

He explained: “It’s the anniversary of my dad’s passing and, as I’ve not had time to do a ridiculous endurance challenge this year, I thought it’d be nice to raise a bit of money for them by donating some takings.”

COAP is a small charity run by a woman whose mother is a recovered alcoholic, with the help of a group of volunteers. The charity runs online message boards where young people who have experience of living with an addict can share their experiences and offer help, guidance and support to those in a similar position.

For more information, call James (after 5.30pm) on 01529 300009 and for further details on COAP visit their website at www.COAP.org.uk.
