Fire guts East Heckington garage

A garage in East Heckington has been severely damaged following a fire yesterday morning (Sunday).

Fire crews from Sleaford, Billingborough and Billinghay were called to the scene at 9.46am and used one hose reel to extinguish the blaze in a domestic garage.

There was severe damage by smoke to 100 per cent of the garage and damage by fire to the contents. The cause was determined to be caused by spontaneous combustion of oil dregs.
