Coming together to recognise serving and former Armed Forces personnel, North Kesteven District Council hosted a ceremonial flag-raising in the courtyard of its Sleaford offices.

In spite of the rain there was a record attendance, with 17 schools represented, joined by High Sheriff of Lincolnshire Jill Hughes, RAF Digby’s Station Commander Wg Co Tom Ashbridge, NKDC chairman Coun John Money and Rev Philip Johnson.

Events in North Kesteven will culminate in a Veterans’ Evening on Friday, where 16 veterans will be presented with special Veterans Badges.
