DESPITE a fear of heights, a Sleaford man is preparing to take the ultimate plunge next month.
Grant Little will soon be taking part in a sponsored bungee jump to raise funds for Khloe’s Appeal, an appeal raising money for the Kinder Appeal at Nottingham Children’s Renal Unit.
The inspiration for the jump comes from Sleaford girl Khloe Hobson, who recently had a kidney transplant after suffering from renal failure when she was just eight years old, and Grant’s partner Leanne knows Khloe’s mum Sara Hobson.
So on Saturday June 9, Grant will be jumping from around 140ft at Salford Quays in Manchester, which will be a huge challenge for him as he admits he is terrified of heights.
Grant works as a ground worker for Smiths Construction and joked that he is a ‘ground’ worker for that exact reason.
He added: “I was being a typical bloke when Leanne mentioned it. I said I would do it as a bit of banter and the next thing I know the sponsor forms were here, so I can’t back out now!”
