FOLLOWING an increase in the number of animals taken into their care, a Ruskington animal re-homing charity is calling for anyone who can give their residents a new home.

Hollies Animal Re-homing Trust (HART), based in Ruskington, is appealing for responsible pet lovers to come forward and give some of their four-legged guests a permanent home after seeing their numbers drastically rise in recent weeks.

Two such purr-fect residents are cats Lulu and Bella, who came to HART because their owner is moving abroad. As they are sisters, they need to be re-homed together.

HART trustee Rob Louth said: “Lulu and Bella love each other unconditionally and need a ‘forever’ home where they can continue to love each other and be loved and cared for.”

Also on their books is four-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Tia. She is good with children and adults but not so much with other dogs until she gets to know them. Tia is lively, playful and affectionate.

Tyson, one of HART’s long-standing residents, is a handsome seven-year-old boxer with a full pedigree. Although he is a friendly, lively pooch, Tyson is scared of visiting the vets so is looking for an understanding new owner who will help get over his fears.

All of HART’s animals are available for viewing at Ruskington Boarding kennels, telephone 01526 833977 to arrange a viewing.

There is a re-homing donation asked for each animal towards their care.

To raise funds, HART holds regular fundraising activities and events. A table top sale will be held at Great Hale Village Hall on November 24. To book a table call 07864 068726. Volunteers are always needed for fundraising, call 07909 094001.
