After making the proclamation at Buckingham Palace, the criers handed the scroll to the Captain of the Queen’s Guard. John said it took three months to organise and added: “It felt very special to be there and be part of Her Majesty’s 90th birthday celebrations in front of several thousand tourists outside Buckingham Palace.”
