High school hits 100 per cent target

KESTEVEN and Sleaford High School staff and pupils were celebrating after 100 per cent of Year 11 pupils achieved the benchmark of five A* to C grades, with 97.5 per cent achieving five A* to C including English and Mathematics.

There were computing problems with the results from the OCR exam board which meant that results originally issued in Science, French and German were wrong but these were soon put right.

However, overall, 53 per cent of the grades achieved by the pupils were A or A* grades.

Craig Booker, acting headteacher, said: "These excellent results are the end product of our girls working hard over the last two years and they thoroughly deserve their success.

"I would also like to thank our excellent staff who are dedicated and hard working."

Alexandra Harrison did exceptionally well, with A grades in RE, English Literature, Science and Additional science, Bs in Business Studies, Maths and Geography, and three Cs.
