Man found dead in his car

A MAN was found dead in his car in a ditch beside the road on yesterday (Thursday) evening.

Emergency services were called to Beacon Hill, Pointon, at about 5.15pm where a passing motorist had seen a green Volvo 850 in a ditch beside the road.

The driver, a 44 year old local man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem will be carried out today to establish the cause of death.
