Man dies four days after road crash
Thursday 9.40am - A YOUNG man hospitalised after a serious road collision has died from his injuries.
The 23-year-old man, who has been named by police as David Pech of Howard Road, Ashby de la Launde, died earlier this morning (Thursday) in Lincoln County Hospital after sustaining serious head injuries in the crash on Sunday February 28.
The smash happened at about 7.10am on the B1189 Martin Road, Metheringham and investigating officers are still appealing for witnesses, who saw the collision or who saw either of the cars on the road prior to the crash, to come forward - call 01522 558855.
Mr Pechman had been driving a blue Ford Focus when it was in collision with a green Suzuki Vitara being driven by a 63-year-old Dunston woman
She was also taken to hospital with chest and stomach injuries which were not thought to be life-threatening.
The road was closed until around mid-day to clear the wreckage and mop up spilled fuel.
