Networking lunch on masterplan for Sleaford

Tuesday 4pm - SLEAFORD branch of the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a networking and consultation lunch for business people to discuss North Kesteven District Council's Sleaford Town Centre Masterplan – A vision for the future.

The event will be taking place at The Agra restaurant, Sleaford on September 8 from 12-2pm.

Entry is 12.50 +VAT for all delegates.

North Kesteven District Council, with Lincolnshire County Council and the Homes and Communities Agency, has recently appointed a team of consultants from Gillespies to help develop a long term vision for Sleaford. This is known as a 'masterplan' and aims to set out a framework and strategy for the change and growth of the town over the next 20 to 25 years.

A recent study indicated that future residential growth is likely to be significant but currently the town centre does not fulfil its potential in relation to its heritage and history, with a poor visitor experience and a lack of quality in local shops and facilities.

A masterplan is designed to understand and analyse the challenges of a 'place' – thinking about 'total place'; to identify what needs to be done to deliver policy objectives, achieve sustainability and address particular needs. It is important in reducing risk and attracting investment and to engage the community.
