An open day to support young people through the process of applying for and securing jobs or move into apprenticeships or education is being held next week.
North Kesteven District Council and Jobcentreplus have worked together to put on the event, being held at the North Kesteven District Council offices in Eastgate, Sleaford on Wednesday, October 24, between 10am and 2pm.
The event will specifically offer advice 16 to 24-year-olds on how to apply for jobs, discuss specialist training programmes, how to best write a CV and meet employers to discuss the world of work.
There will also be advice on self employment, debt and benefits. If you are an employer wanting to find out about training available or apprenticeships or are looking to recruit young people, you can go along and talk to Jobcentreplus or the Work Based Academy.
Representatives of Butlins, Moy Park, Brook Street, Eco2, the Army, training providers, colleges and Lincoln University and the Princes Trust will be there. Myjobsplace.co.uk will be attending to help people make video C.Vs.
If you cannot attend but want to know more, call 0845 604 3719.
