A FUND-RAISING weekend staged by a Sleaford pub raised over £7,000 for a cancer charity.
The landlords of the Bull and Dog in Southgate hosted three days of entertainment in April, which included quizzes, a fancy dress pub crawl, karaoke and disco, 24-hour pool marathon and an auction and raffle in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The total amount raised was £7,306.14.
The money was handed over to Lincolnshire Macmillan fund-raising manager Tanya Taylor at a presentation last week.
The event was co-ordinated by Kev Monk, Nicola Robinson and Cliff Hutson after Cliff’s mum died of cancer last year.
The pub, along with the India Garden restaurant and East Road Car Wash all donated some of their takings to the cause.
