PUPILS will be able to have a quiet moment of reflection after a new area was opened at Navenby Primary School.

The school now has a Cairn, providing a spiritual area where pupils can go and have some quiet time.

Among the guests attending the official opening were school governors and Canon Kathryn Windslow.

Each pupil decorated a pebble with their name on it and these were laid in the Cairn area during the opening ceremony.

The Cairn area will also be used when the school hosts its twice-yearly special services, the first of which is in September when all the new starters lay their pebbles. The other service will be held in April when any pupil who has joined mid-year can lay their pebble.
