North Kesteven District Council has teamed up with retail experts Kerching to bring the Christmas Workshop to The Source, in Sleaford, on Tuesday, October 11.

The event will focus on new advice and ideas to enable businesses to maximise their potential at the most competitive time of the retail year.

Corin Birchall, from Kerching, has travelled across Europe to explore how they make the most of the selling seasons – particularly Christmas.

He said: “We can learn so much from the retailing trailblazers across the UK and Europe - how they are attracting customers from their competitors, getting their message heard amongst all the noise and increasing average spend.”

Coun Marion Brighton, Leader of North Kesteven District Council, said: “A thriving High Street is important for every town and as a council we have a priority of supporting our economy, helping businesses to flourish and grow.

“I am sure retailers will find this a useful event to find out how other countries make the most of the festive season.

“Held in the evening and free to attend, I hope as many businesses as possible make the most of this opportunity.”

The event, for retail and leisure businesses in Sleaford, will start at 5.30pm with refreshments and networking opportunities, followed by a workshop between 6pm and 8pm.
