Sporting stars honoured at Sleaford Town Awards 2016

In a memorable evening of entertainment, Sleaford Town Awards last Thursday saw a number of sporting figures and organisations applauded for their contributions.

The event was organised jointly by the Sleaford Standard and Sleaford Town Council.

Among the recipients were Sleaford Barge Netball Club for Club of the Year, Bill Rayner of Sleaford Striders running club for Coach of the Year and young golfer Will Hopkins won Sports Individual of the Year.

Also, Carre’s Grammar School Community Fitness Centre won the Community Award for its work championing fitness among its staff and students as well as taking on referrals from health professionals.
