Three motorcyclists injured in collision

THREE male motorcyclists were injured when they were involved in a collision with a pick up truck.

The crash happened at about 2.50pm on Sunday afternoon, blocking the A15 near Rippingale for three hours while the three casualties were airlifted to Pilgrim Hospital at Boston.

Most seriously injured was the rider of a white Suzuki who suffered head injuries.

The rider of a beige Honda from Bourne was later taken to Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham with suspected spinal injuries and other broken bones, while the rider of an orange Kawasaki, also from Bourne, was treated for broken bones. None of the injuries were believed to be life threatening.

The occupants of the grey Toyota Hilux pick-up were unhurt.
