Over the past two weeks there has been a spate of thefts from vehicles in the Holdingham area of Sleaford.
After investigation, police have arrested and charged two men, both from the Sleaford area, with 11 offences of theft from motor vehicles and burglary.
They will appear in court later in August.
Sleaford neighbourhood policing team manager Pc Keith McLardy commented: “I cannot impress enough that we should be mindful to lock all car doors, house windows/doors in the summer months as this is just an invite to any opportunist thief. Crime prevention advice can be given by the Sleaford Neighbourhood Policing Team, please call 101 to arrange a property marking pack to be sent to your home.”
n Police were called to complaints of youths being abusive in the Elm Tree playing field at Ruskington on Saturday evening.
Officers attended a few minutes after the call was received, located the youths and after establishing their identities sent them on their way with strong words of advice.
The neighbourhood policing team points out that this shows that ringing the police at the time of the incident works.
n Lincolnshire police are warning residents of a scam doing the rounds in the area.
