UPDATE: Man arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after garden wall collision

A 23-year-old man from Billingborough has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol following a collision with a garden wall this morning (Thursday).

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police confirmed one vehicle was involved in the incident which was reported at 1.12am and there were no injuries reported.

The collision resulted in damage to the garden wall.

Any witnesses to the incident should call 101, quoting incident seven of February 11, 2016.

THURSDAY, 9.48am - A car has collided with a garden wall on Grantham Road, Sleaford overnight (Wednesday/Thursday).

The incident happened sometime overnight while the householders were asleep. They told The Standard they were unaware that anything had happened until getting up this morning.

They will be speaking with police about the matter later today.

The damaged wall on the corner of Rookery Avenue has been cordoned off by police tape.

It had been similarly damaged in a collision about five years ago and had to be rebuilt.

The Standard has contacted police for details.
