Woman driver dies at Wellingore
A 40-year-old woman has died after a collision last night (Tuesday).
Emergency services were called to the A607 at Wellingore just after 8pm last night where the Grantham woman had been driving a silver Ford Fiesta towards Grantham when she was in collision with a blue Porsche Boxter travelling towards Lincoln.
The driver of the Fiesta was taken to Lincoln County Hospital where she died a short time later.
The driver of the Porsche was also taken to hospital with injuries not thought life threatening.
The road was closed until about 2.45am this morning. Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or saw either vehicle prior to the collision to contact them on 01522 558855.
