Heckington’s 8 Sail Brewery has cause to toast its own success after winning three honours in the Camra East Midlands Regional Champion Beer of Britain 2014 competition.

The brewery, established in 2010, took gold in the porter category for its Victorian Porter, gold in the real ale in a bottle category for its Damson Porter, and silver in the mild category for its Millwright Mild.

The awards were presented on Wednesday at the Derby Camra City Charter Beer Festival.

These are not the first honours for the duo behind the brewery, Steve Doane and Tony Pygott.

The brewery holds its summer beer festival from July 24 to 26.
