Sleaford’s newest soft play and party centre, Darmon’s Funhouse, has a new mascot, and they have teamed up with The Sleaford Standard to find him - or her - a name.

Readers are invited to fill in the coupon in the Sleaford Standard of Wednesday May 20 and send it or drop it in to Darmon’s Funhouse, Station Road, Sleaford, NG34 7RG with your name suggestion. The best name for their friendly dinosaur - who already has its own Facebook page - will win a month’s free play pass at Darmon’s Funhouse on Station Road in Sleaford. Deadline for entries is Monday May 25. Entries delivered in person get a free lolly.

The Funhouse is the idea of owners Greg and Lucy Darmon, who also run Darmon’s Bar upstairs.

Lucy explained: “We did a lot of research with a company called House of Play who have helped us set it up.”

The facility has a reception/waiting area and restaurant, a dedicated soft play area for under fives and larger area for older children aged 5-12. A key feature is the ‘drop slide’ - a four metre drop which is unique locally. Other features include a ball pool, zip wire, tunnels and three different slides.

Lucy said it was ideal for those who want to drop in with the children for a break during a normal shopping day and particularly good for those unable to travel out of town.

During term times, Monday to Friday, Darmon’s run toddler activity sessions in the mornings at £3 per child for members including a cup of juice for the child and free entry for the first adult. Activities include Dinorobics, craft and modelling, creative time, messy play, nursery rhymes, games and a teddy bears picnic.

Normal entry is £4 for under fives, £5 for 5-12s, under ones free. The funhouse is open 9am-6pm weekdays and 10am-6pm weekends. A loyalty card system offers visitors the 6th session free.

The Funhouse offers a variety of party packages too. For details or to book drop into reception or call 01529 414169. You can also find out more via www.darmons.co.uk/funhouse as well as Twitter and Instagram.

○ From the end of June they are launching the ‘Family Dining Out Night’ - a full evening menu and licenced bar with the added benefit of a soft play facility for the children, bookings being taken for every Friday night 6pm-10pm.
