This year’s Nativity at St Andrew’s CofE School, in Heckington, saw a host of new costumes making their stage debut.
Youngsters from Reception and Years One and Two performed the play, titled Jesus in the Manger’, last week, dressed in items from a newly expanded wardrobe.
Headteacher Lesley Tyreman explained: “Over the last few years we have been saving up the proceeds from the plays and this year bought more costumes.
“So this was the first time we had worn them for our Nativity play.”
The school’s choir has also recently been visiting Greenacres care home in the village to sing Christmas carols.
