About a hundred members and friends of the Cranwell RAF Association enjoyed a Christmas lunch in the Warrant Officer’s and Sergeants’ Mess at the RAF College, Cranwell.

Mike Smith of Cranwell RAF Association, said: “This is not only an occasion for a seasonal meal but an opportunity to thank members of the Sleaford Air Training Corps. Some years ago the branch adopted the Sleaford ATC and there is a close liaison between both organisations.

“This is shown especially in the support that the Cadets and staff give in September on Battle of Britain Saturday when they are very successful in collecting for the branch and national fund raising efforts.

“It also gives us an opportunity to show our appreciation to the Mess staff who ensure throughout the year that we are welcome for our meetings and social events.”
