Sleaford opticians helped local girl Keira Beeson’s appeal to raise awareness of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis by turning the town purple on May 19.

Inspired by Keira’s positivity since being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease three years ago, the Specsavers team raised £70 through a prize draw and asked Keira to pick the winner to win back the cost of their specs. Proceeds go to Crohn’s and Colitis UK, supporting people with the two most common forms of inflammatory bowel disease.
