Music, visual arts, crafts and concerts will feature at this year’s Leadenham arts festival on July 31-August 1.
The festival takes a new turn this year with the inclusion of local primary schools taking part in a project which includes art, baking, archaeology, a feast and bellringing.
Participants at the festival range from international musicians, a stand-up comic, art groups, a barbershop harmony club, Irish dancers and singers. Ticketed concerts will be held on Friday, 6.30pm, in St Swithun’s Church, and a party cabaret will be held on Saturday, 7.30pm, at the George Hotel. The event will be rounded off with a guest appearance from ‘Father Austin Purcell’ from TV’s Father Ted and a host of special guests.
