Sleaford car park charges set to rise in April

Keep your loose change handy from April 1 as car parking charges in Sleaford are due to rise - the first time in five years.

Six of the nine car parks in Sleaford will increase by 10p, one by 20p and two will remain the same.

This was after a review of charges earlier this year to balance the coming year’s budget.

Options to replace parking meters with ones that will accept electronic payment are currently being considered by the district council.

Charges will go up by 10p in Cogglesford Mill, Church Lane, Market Place, Money’s Yard and Westgate, 20p extra in Station Road and there will be no change in Eastgate and Grantham Road car parks.

Season tickets will be £378 per year for Eastbanks and Westgate car parks and £600 a year for Eastgate car park.
