The debate will take place at Riverside Church, Southgate, on Saturday. Starting at 10am it is open to all trade unionists. Local members and regional officers of the GMB will take part along with Sleaford and North Hykeham Labour Party members.

Mike Hudson, of Sleaford and North Hykeham Labour Party, says: “Too often the standard of the national debate is poor. A sound bite from one side is followed by a contradiction from the other. Social media is worse, comments trail off to irrelevant abuse.

“The Sleaford debate is a chance for people with different views to meet face to face. To put their case and, critically, be challenged. I am confident that a good debate, with speaking, listening and responding to facts, not emotion or opinion will bring a clear decision on the way to vote.”
