Global Sleaford held the event recently at the New Life Conference Centre as part of the Climate Coalition’s Speak Up Week of Action.

“Attendees heard hard-hitting facts about global warming and sampled food from countries already affected by it,” a spokesman for Global Sleaford said.

Speakers were: campaigner Geoff Stratford; Victor Mughogho, Christian Aid partner in Malawi who spoke of the impact of climate change in Africa; and MP Stephen Phillips.

“All [who attendeded] agreed the need act now to avert the most catastrophic effects of climate change, which are already being suffered by those who deserve it least,” the spokesman added.
