A red and yellow striped children’s tent was blown into Sleaford cemetery earlier today by strong, gusting winds.
It was discovered and rescued by a woman from Bedford who was visiting the cemetery. She took it up to the cemetery office, where it was more sheltered from the gusts.
As she was leaving she mentioned the tent to Dr Richard Shaw, who was walking up the driveway towards the cemetery. He took a photo of the tent and emailed it into the Sleaford Standard.
The Standard, in turn, contacted Sleaford Town Council, who have taken the tent in for safe storage.
If the tent is yours, contact the town council on 01529 303456. Proof of ownership may be required.
