Rail delays are likely on the line between Spalding and Lincoln through Sleaford due to a broken down train.

East Midlands Trains have reported: “A broken down freight train between Doncaster and Gainsborough Lea Road means that trains are currently unable to run between Lincoln Central and Doncaster via Gainsborough Lea Road.

“Passengers may travel between Doncaster and Lincoln Central via Retford or Newark North Gate.”

The rail operator’s Twitterfeed says tickets are being accepted on other networks as there was no firm estimate when the line would be re-opening.
