Cyclist injured in hit and run on A17

A cyclist has been injured following a hit and run on the A17 today, Saturday January 2.

The 28-year-old Sleaford man was cycling along the A17 between Kirkby le Thorpe and Heckington at 07:30am when he was knocked off his bike and the driver failed to stop.

The cyclist sustained a broken arm in the incident and is currently being treated in the Pilgrim hospital at Boston. He is likely to be detained overnight.
