Firefighters needed to rescue car stranded in flood waterat Potterhanworth

The heavy downpour on Thursday night resulted in a firecrew from Lincoln being needed to rescue a stranded car.

The crew used a tow rope to pull the car by hand out of flood water pooled beneath a railway bridge on Station Road, Potterhanworth.

The car had been driven in and got stuck at about 1.39am on Friday morning. There were no injuries reported by the fire service.
