A minor collision on the A15 and a broken down lorry on the Holdingham Roundabout is believed to be causing major tailbacks on the A17 Sleaford bypass.

According to Lincolnshire Police, at least two cars were involved in the collision reported at 1.10pm this afternoon (Friday) at the Brauncewell turnoff on the A15.

The police spokesman said: “There is no mention of any significant injury. Temporary diversions are in place whilst vehicles are cleared.”

The the break-down happened about an hour later and drivers are reporting on social media and to The Standard of gridlock on the bypass heading westbound towards the roundabout and on all other routes towards the hugely busy junction.

Drivers are advised to find alternative routes if possible as queues on the A17 are stretching beyond the A153 East Road junction.
