Sleaford Town manager Kris Jones has come out of his coma, the football club has announced.
The father-of-three was left in a ‘critical’ condition after being involved in a crash on the A1 at the start of August.
A statement published on the club’s website yesterday (Sunday, September 21) reads: “It is with great satisfaction that the club is able to confirm that its manager, Kris Jones, has come out of his coma.
“His condition remains very serious and he is still very poorly but we are hopeful this is a significant step on the long road to recovery and reuniting him back at home with his family.”
It adds: “Everyone at the club knows what a fighter Kris is and believe in his ability to overcome these challenges.
“Also we and his family would once again like to echo our thanks to the many messages of support that have been received. They really are a great help.”
