UPDATE: Trains running again between Sleaford and Peterborough after ‘barrier failure’

Monday, 5pm: Trains are now able to run between Peterborough and Sleaford following an earlier ‘barrier failure’ at a level crossing.

The fault occurred between Sleaford and Spalding this afternoon, leaving services suspended.

Monday, 3.20pm: Trains between Sleaford and Peterborough are currently suspended because of a ‘complete barrier failure’ at a level crossing on the route.

The fault has occurred between Sleaford and Spalding, East Midlands Trains has reported.

Rail replacement transport is being sourced for the cancelled services and staff are expected on site at the affected crossing at 3.30pm, it adds.

Disruption is expected to continue until 5pm, passengers are advised.
