Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a business in Cranwell yesterday (Friday).

The men, aged 20 and 28 and from the local area, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Both remain in police custody and will be interviewed in due course.

Witnesses carrying a ‘knife-type weapon’ and carried out an armed robbery at a business on College Road in Cranwell Village.

Police appealed for witnesses after a report of a man carrying a ‘knife-type weapon’ entering the business.

A spokesman said that police received the report at 10.40am. The man demanded money from a female member of staff, which was handed over.

He is believed to have then left the premises and headed in the direction of RAF Cranwell.

Anyone who may have seen or heard anything in connection with the incident, is asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 100 of October 30, 2015.
