A horse drawn hearse led the procession through Sleaford to Ruskington for the funeral of Tony Frost.
Mr Frost died at home in Ruskington aged 69.
The funeral took place on Friday. It was held at All Saints’ Church, Ruskington, followed by burial in the village cemetery, led by the Rev Christine Pennock.
A local painter and decorator, Mr Frost had recently retired after falling ill last May, but was also well known as a vocalist with local band The Wrinkly Rockers.
Born in Tanvats, he grew up in Walcott and attended Timberland and Billinghay Schools. He had lived in Ruskington for 50 years and leaves wife Sheila, children Mark and Sarah and his grandchildren.
He had been with The Wrinkly Rockers since they started five years ago and had been in three or four other bands in the 1970s and 1980s, according to son Mark. These included Satin Blue, Harmony Plain and Brass Roots.
Donations were invited for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Arrangements were by Colin Ward Funeral Services.
