Have your say

Once again the North Kesteven District Council Planning Committee have come up with trumps and voted for this digestion plant to go ahead and not listened to what the residents have to say about it.

It would appear reading the report that they were determined to pass these plans, taking three votes and the chairman’s casting vote for it to through, getting what they wanted in the finish.

It doesn’t seem long ago since the same council along with Sustrans installed a cycle path at an expense across the same field to the delight of all involved. Now this latest decision is putting the cyclists at risk with all the extra traffic nearby, not forgetting the very busy A15 where the plant traffic will have to use to gain access.

We have now had at least three major developments approved by North Kesteven District Council where residents have had a lot to say about them. Our Prime Minister said when he took office ‘We are going to listen to the people’. Obviously this doesn’t apply locally, in fact the opposite does as the old song goes ‘I did it my way’.

I will remind all residents that elections take place in May 2015 and just remember to use your vote taking into mind all that this council have done for you in recent years.

Alan Ward,
