RUSKINGTON rider Rob Frost is making a habit of finishing seventh in his races, as he rode to his third seventh place of the season at Cadwell on Monday in the British Supersport championship round held at the Lincolnshire venue near Louth.
Qualifying left him on row five in 15th position and a good start was the order of the day if he was to achieve a reasonable result on the Buff Racing Triumph.

As the race got under way it was immediately red-flagged for an incident at Charlies and after a lengthy delay the race was re-started over a reduced distance of 14 laps.

This time Frost got away to a fantastic start moving straight into 10th place before forging ahead to hold ninth on lap two. Rob said: “I ended up in seventh place and got stuck in a rut unable to make further progress. I would have liked to have finished a bit higher than that to be honest so we really need to work on the qualifying, as I was fifth fastest in the race. It is all getting there, slowly but we are improving the Triumph all the time.”

Frost’s placing gives him a further nine championship points.

Although he remains in ninth place in the rider standings he has closed the gap on the riders ahead and a good result from the next round at Croft on September 14 could see him progress up the order.

Prior to that Frost has a ride in the World Supersport championship round at Donington Park on September 7 where he will be keen to pick up a further top-10 result to add to the ninth place he secured at Brands Hatch earlier in the year.
