TEENAGE motocross rider Christian Lyth, of Sleaford, ended his first season in the schoolboy 125cc motocross group with a good ride at Mildenhall race track.
In his three races he recorded a sixth place finish and two eighth places to claim sufficient points to clinch fourth place in the final standings of the CJSC championship. Most importantly, Christian was the top 125cc rider in the series.

There was a rule change for 2008 which permitted 250cc four stroke bikes to race alongside the schoolboy 125 group, so for Christian to complete the season in fourth place in a mixed group of riders was a great achievement.

A pupil at St George's College in Sleaford, Christian intends to step up a class for 2009 when he will ride a 250F machine.

With this in mind Christian will be racing the new bike at selected meetings over the winter months to prepare for next season, which will see him take in more national and British championship meetings.
