RUSKINGTON motorcyle racer Rob Frost secured three top 12 results from five races at the North West 200 meeting in Ireland on Saturday.
The annual International NW200 races are held around the 8.966-mile Triangle Course that runs on public roads between the towns of Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine.

Frost started his day in the first of the two Superbike races. He began from 15
th place on the grid but his race was over on lap three when his Yamaha flicked up a stone which holed the radiator and he was forced to retire.

In the first of two five-lap Supersport races Frost again began his campaign from 15th on the grid but this time he rode a strong race to claim 12th place at the chequered flag on the Chris Dowd Racing R6 Yamaha.

Next up was the Superstock event, again held over five laps. This time the Ruskington racer was 14th on the grid and rode through to complete the course in ninth position.

After his non finish in the first Superbike race, Frost was determined to do well in the feature race of the day - The Blackhorse Motorcycle Finance NW200 Superbike event. He set off at a good pace to cross the finish line at the end of the six laps in a fine 11th position.

With hardly time to catch his breath, he again took his place on the grid for his final outing of the day and after the first lap was up into seventh position. As the pace increased, he was relegated to eighth but managed to stay in touch with the leading group. However, as the race drew to a close, Frost was unlucky to run out of fuel within sight of the chequered flag.

*Rob Frost returns to the track at Donington Park at the weekend when he is to contest the fourth round of the British Supersport Championship for Buff Racing.
