ROB Frost of Ruskington equalled his best result of the season to date when he secured a fine seventh place in round eight of the 2008 Fuchs/Silkolene British Superstock Championship for the Buff Racing Triumph team.
Qualifying didn't quite go to plan for Frost who only qualified for a fourth row start in 16th place for the 27-lap race on Sunday.

He immediately shot up to 12th and, by the second lap, was lying in 10th place.

Frost made up ground on the riders ahead of him and was quickly through to seventh, heading the second group of riders, just over four seconds behind the leaders.

With five laps remaining the red flag brought the race to an end because of rain on the course, with the Ruskington racer awarded seventh place to claim a further nine championship points which moved him up to ninth in the championship with four rounds remaining.

Rob said: "It was a good result under the circumstances."

The next round is at Frost's home track of Cadwell Park on August 26 and he will be hoping for another good result to enable him to move further up the championship standings.
