JIM Boyle and Fliss Hart confirmed their status as Lincolnshire’s top male and female 25-mile time trialists with stunning performances in the Nev Crane Memorial 25-mile event on Sunday.

The event was promoted by Doug Laidlow on behalf of Sleaford
Wheelers, with a £600 prize list attracting more than 100 riders from all over the East Midlands.

Jim Boyle of Sleaford Wheelers recorded a fast time of 55 mins 15 secs to finish second overall and pushing the current county champion Ian Dalton, of Cherry Valley RT down to third place with 55.17. Jim also took the prize for the fastest veteran rider over 40.

The overall winner was Julian Ramsbottom, whose 53.52 time for the 25 miles was just short of the course record.

Another Sleaford Wheeler, Fliss Hart only narrowly missed going under the magic one hour mark, winning the ladies’ prize with a time of 1.00.41, setting a new ladies’ course record in the process.

Other Sleaford Wheelers taking part were: Adi Mackinder 1.00.59 (PB); Mark Colclough (1.00.59); Dave Smith 1.03.17; Karl Fraser 1.03.54; Dennis Owen 1.04.21; Dave Ashley 1.05.17; Russ Newman 1.06.10; Malc Yates 1.07.14; John Scott 1.08.02; Howard Pell 1.08.05; Andy Corton 1.09.26; Steve Jackson 1.09.46; Andy Howell 1.10.02; Graham Hurrell 1.11.39; Brian Brockington 1.13.00; Adrian Haylor 1.16.09; Ben Wright 1.18.10 (PB).
