LINCOLNSHIRE based karting champion Jack Harvey heads out to the Italian circuit of La Conca this weekend for what will be possibly the biggest challenge of his career, the KF2 World Cup.
The Alpinestars backed racer from Bassingham is brimming with confidence as he goes out to a track where he has had a great deal of success in the past aiming to add to his CIK-FIA Asia-Pacific title by lifting the World Cup crown too.

Fifteen-yea
r-old Jack said: "I'm going out to La Conca feeling really confident. I've been training really hard and I'm in great shape."

Despite the 'world' status in the title, the event is not a world championship. However, with the best KF2 drivers from around the globe taking part, it will certainly be the biggest test of Jack's season and another FIA sanctioned title to aim for.

He added: "It's an incredibly high profile event and, along with the European Championship and the Asia-Pacific title, is one of the major trophies in the category. I definitely want to go out there and do well.

"It will be a tough weekend, as there is such a high calibre of drivers taking part, but I prefer the bigger events, as the standard of driving is a lot higher and everything is so well organised. I'm going out there to do the best I can, with every intention to come back with the World Cup title."
current leader.

Jack will take to the Italian circuit for the first time tomorrow (Thursday) for free-practice, before the heats and finals get underway on Saturday and Sunday.

*At the beginning of October, Jack will conclude his season in the final round of the Winning Series of Karting at Zuera in Spain, for what he hopes will be another title winning weekend. He currently lies second in the championship, just a single point behind the leader.
