Boston FC 4 Sleaford Town 2

SLEAFORD Town slumped to their second successive defeat at the start of the season but this was a better showing against a strong Boston outfit than Saturday's loss at home to Raunds.
There was little to choose between the two sides in the opening period of this United Counties Premier Division clash.

Sleaford had one or two half chances before Boston took the lead through a neat snap shot seven minutes from half time.

Boston put Town under immense pressure early in the second half and increased their lead after 20 minutes.

But Sleaford hit back, with Kris Jones netting the rebound after Matt Lunn saw his shot strike the post.

The game ended in a fenzy of goals, with three coming in the final five minutes.

Boston went two goals up again, scoring on the counter-attack but withing a minute Jones headed in his second of the game to bring Sleaford back into it.

A last-minute goal secured the win for Boston.
